Volkswagen gets recognition for efficiency of its TSI engines

2011 Volkswagen Touareg / Touareg Hybrid / Touareg TDI ? First Drive Review
VW finally gives in to the hybrid temptation, and does so remarkably well. As a longtime diesel promoter, Volkswagen?s interest in hybrids has strictly been competitive, its corporate line an assertion that diesel is the better fuel-saving alternative. This one seems to have passed the line separating "potential restoration project" to "parts car" quite a while back, what with all the torn-up steel on the right side. What happened to this car? Someone rescued the engine, which means some other VW will- ideally- avoid the fate of this one. gawkerGallery(5485146,12,);
